Regular eye exams are an invaluable tool in maintaining healthy eyes by detecting and preventing disease in both adults and children. Some diseases develop slowly without causing pain or vision loss. Early detection of any problems can reduce the risk of further harm and allow for a choice of treatment options. Part of your exam includes the following procedures: Slit Lamp Examinations, Dilated Eye Exams, Glaucoma Pressure Testing, and Refraction for Glasses and Contact Lenses* (*new glasses prescriptions may incur an additional cost).
Glaucoma, the leading cause of blindness and visual impairment in the United States, is an eye disease that can lead to a permanent loss of vision. We provide all diagnostic and treatment options for glaucoma care. Glaucoma generally provides no warning signs or symptoms of disease, making testing an important part of a full vision exam. We utilize the latest and most advanced computerized tests to diagnose glaucoma.
For those who medical treatments fail, laser treatments and/or surgical treatments can be utilized to lower pressure inside the eye with the goal of preventing further vision loss.
Cataracts are a gradual painless clouding of the crystalline lens inside the eye. Using advanced equipment and surgical techniques, sutureless, outpatient cataract surgery is available. Cataract surgery would replace the diseased natural lens with an artificial lens to correct for near sighted and far sighted prescriptions. Eligible patients can select optional lenses that correct for astigmatism and/or allow for reading and distance vision for an additional cost.
Due to various causes our eyelids can begin to droop (ptosis), turn outward (ectropion), turn inward (entropion), or develop various lesions that require surgical removal. We offer various surgical treatments that can restore the normal function and appearance of the eyelids.
At our comprehensive optical boutique we have a wide variety of designer frames and contact lenses. Fittings are performed by our highly trained and experinced opticians.
